As the area of expertise becomes more technical, the terminology used in the documents to be translated may become very specific and it is necessary to resort to glossaries of specialized terms depending on the area. This way, one of the most common errors when translating documents is prevented: the misuse or use of specific technical terminology.

Another popular error when working on a translation is the lack of understanding of the text that is being translated and, therefore, modifying or giving a different meaning to the text. For example, a lack of understanding of a text may end up reversing the meaning of a paragraph, of what one wants to express. A very common mistake in translations is to invest the passive and active subject of the sentence.
Another error can occur in the lack of identification of the appropriate term within the context and the text, as well as the repetition of words that can be replaced by synonyms. In this sense, it is very important not only to have knowledge of the translation techniques but also to take care of the style, syntax and, of course, it is essential to take care of the grammar.
In short, to perform a translation requires that the linguist has a background, training, knowledge and experience sufficient to perform a job, according to its complexity.
